America faces WIND and FIRE

Super Killer Thunderstorms and Dangerous Heat Wave

A powerful line of severe thunderstorms called a "derecho" slammed much of Indiana, Ohio, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Virginia, North Carolina, Maryland and Delaware yesterday with hurricane force winds and considerable widespread damage including fatalities.  The National Weather Service is calling this a "Super Derecho" and will no doubt go down in the record books as one of the most powerful lines of thunderstorms in history:

Meanwhile the aftermath is met with power outages as much of the country heats up with not only a dangerous heat wave with temperatures common above 100 daily across many states, but also a sprawling drought condition across much of the nation which threatens livestock and crops.

All this on top of a very sensitive economic situation across the U.S.A. promises to bring major problems never seen before in America:

Does anyone consider the LORD God in all of these wonders?  One day his judgement of various plagues and vials will pour out upon man and you know what happens?  Many doesn't seem to care.  You see man thinks he's quite powerful and can exalt himself above God.  How foolish of him!

Now I'm not saying the verses below apply to know but there are posted here anyway as reminders:

And the rest of the men which were not killed by these plagues yet repented not of the works of their hands, that they should not worship devils, and idols of gold, and silver, and brass, and stone, and of wood: which neither can see, nor hear, nor walk:
Neither repented they of their murders, nor of their sorceries, nor of their fornication, nor of their thefts.
---REVELATION 9.20-21

But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.
---II PETER 3.10

He sendeth out his word, and melteth them: he causeth his wind to blow, [and] the waters flow.
---PSALM 147.18

For the sun is no sooner risen with a burning heat, but it withereth the grass, and the flower thereof falleth, and the grace of the fashion of it perisheth: so also shall the rich man fade away in his ways.
---JAMES 1.11
